Who this covers
This policy describes what Chef Wade stores when you use the site. The site is Alexander Wade's. He is responsible for the account information kept here. The Terms of Service explain the rules of the book.
What is stored
An account stores your name, email, and password. The password is kept by the login system so you can sign in. It is not shown on the site. The account also stores the plates you bookmark and the rating you give each one.
Those ratings and favorites are personal. They appear on your profile only. They are not added to a public plate, a recipe, or anyone else's view of the book.
This browser can remember bookmarks before you sign in. After you sign in, the saved list is kept on the account. Chef accounts may also upload a photo and a recipe. That plate is public. A chef account can see names, emails, and sign-in times, and can remove a guest account. Ratings stay private.
How it is used
Confirming an email, or resetting a password, sends one message with a link. The address is not used until that link is opened. The company that hosts the site stores the database so the book can stay online. Chef Wade does not sell personal information and does not share your ratings. Instagram has its own rules if you leave through the link in the footer.
No method of storage is perfect. You are responsible for keeping your password private. Chef Wade is not liable for a login you share or a device you leave signed in.
How long it stays
Favorites and ratings stay until you remove them or delete the account. Deleting the account removes the login, the saved list, and the ratings. Public plates the chef posted stay on the book until the chef removes them.
The site is not for anyone under 18. Questions about this policy can be sent through the Instagram account linked in the footer.
